Here are the tools I use for my online business and others that I recommend. The tools I recommend are ones I’ve used in the past or they’re being used by clients of mine. If there is a tool or resource you don’t see here, ask me a Q in our Facebook group or shoot me an email.
I’ll be happy to help you find what you’re looking for!
Websites (CMS – Content Management System)
BlueHost is hands down my favorite way to go! Unlimited number of websites? Email addresses? Superior customer service? Yes Please! 🙂
I use WordPress and StudioPress themes because, “as you may already know, one of the most flexible, powerful, and smart ways to publish content online is by using WordPress software.” –StudioPress Mantra
It’s the first place I go AND what I recommend to my clients who are ready to create their online space. It’s just smart business!
Content Creation Tools
When writing a blog post, social media post or workshop materials, trying to express how you feel without using the same words over and over can be frustrating!
I found this list a few years ago and I use it often!
Blog Post Storyboard Template
- A blank copy of my template
- Writing prompts to help get your creative juices flowing
- …and one of my own blogpost storyboard examples!
This template is great for all industries and a fun way to create the perfect outline for writing!
Ideal Client Story
Everyone loves a good story, right? This template will help you to quickly create your ideal client story.
Creating an ideal client story will not only, give you a roadmap for creating content that keeps you connected to your audience, but it will also draw new visitors to your site because everyone loves a good story!
Image and Graphics Tool
Canva – Hands down my favorite tool to create my social media images and meme’s, website and blog images, email headers, etc. Guy Kawasaki is the Brand Ambassador for Canva but if he wasn’t, I’d apply for the job!
Here’s a quick tutorial I did recently on how to use Canva. I think you’ll get a lot of value from it. Enjoy!
Stock Photos & Images
Here’s a list of our favorite stock photo sites–and each one has our stamp of approval–they are all user friendly and searchable by key words or themes, popularity and some have a search based on color palette. Pretty cool, huh? Check them out!
